PM Modi condoles loss of lives in floods

New Delhi, Aug 23 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condoled the loss of lives caused by floods in four Indian states.

"The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has condoled the loss of life in the floods in the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Assam," the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement on Saturday.

"The Prime Minister has sanctioned Rs. 2 lakhs for the next of kin of each of the deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for each of the seriously injured, from the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund," he said.
