PM Modi greets Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday

New Delhi, Sept 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted singer and Bharat Ratna awardee Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday.

Mangeshkar, 87, is the second female musician after MS Subbulakshmi to receive the Bharat Ratna, India's highest honour.

A doyenne among playback singers, her career spans over seven decades.

Praying for her long and healthy life, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Spoke to Lata Didi & conveyed birthday greetings to her. I pray for her long and healthy life. @mangeshkarlata."
