PM Modi greets Marathi people on Gudi Padwa
New Delhi, Mar 28 (IBNS); Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the Marathi community on the occasion of Gudi Padwa.
Gudi Padwa is the first day of lunar month Chaitra and marks the beginning of a lunar new year.
The name has been derived from the Sanskrit name for Chaitra Shukla Pratipad.
"Wishing the people of Maharashtra on the special occasion of Gudi Padwa. May the coming year bring happiness, good health & prosperity," Prime Minister Modi's tweet read.
