PM Modi greets nation on Onam

New Delhi, Sept 14 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Onam.

"Onam wishes to you all. I pray that this special festival furthers the atmosphere of harmony & happiness across our nation," the PM tweeted.

Onam, predominantly observed by the Malayali community, is a week long festival commemorating the homecoming of mythological lower caste King Mahabali, whose rule was ended by Vamana, one of Lord Vishnu's Dasavataram.
