New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday dropped in for a surprise visit to the new Parliament building, where the construction work is in its final stages.

As part of the Central Vista redevelopment project, the new Parliament building is being built by Tata Projects Limited.

The building will be featuring larger halls, a library and committee rooms.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

The new building, which was earlier expected to be completed by November last year, is likely to be inaugurated soon.
