PM Modi pays homage to Charan Singh on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, paid homage to former Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh, on his birth anniversary.

"Remembering Chaudhary Charan Singh ji on his birth anniversary. Chaudhary Sahab served the nation with utmost dedication. He worked assiduously for the development of our villages and always championed the rights of our farmers," the Prime Minister's tweet read.

Charan Singh was the fifth Prime Minister of India, who was popularly referred to as 'champion of India's peasants'.
