PM Modi pays tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam on birth anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam, on the latter's birth anniversary.

"Tributes to our former President, the person who captured the imagination of every Indian, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary," PM Modi's tweet read.

Kalam was 11th President of India and served the nation from 2002-2007.

A Bharat Ratna Awardee, he was widely referred to as the 'People's President'.
