PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka today for poll campaign

Bengaluru, Apr 13 (IBNS): Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Karnataka for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on Saturday.

Modi will hold two rallies in Mangalore and Bengaluru South in the evening.

Gandhi will hold three rallies in Karnataka. The public meetings will be held in Kolar, Chitradurag and Krishnarajanagara.

In Karnataka, the Congress and Janata Dal Secular, which are running the state government, are fighting the polls in an alliance.

Prior to the Karnataka rallies, the Prime Minister will campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Theni and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.

In Tamil Nadu, the BJP is fighting the polls in an alliance with AIADMK while Congress has stitched an alliance with DMK.

Karnataka will go to polls in the second and third phases on Apr 18 and 23 respectively.

People of Tamil Nadu will cast their votes on Apr 18.

The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
