PM Modi takes a dig at Lalu Prasad

New Delhi, Jan 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a dig at tainted former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, without directly mentioning his name.

Addressing an NCC rally, Modi said, "Earlier people believed that nothing happens to the rich and powerful. But, things are different today. People who served as Chief Ministers are in jail for their corruption."

Lalu Prasad, a former Union Rail Minister, is serving a jail term after he was convicted in the fodder scam case.

After being found guilty in two cases, Lalu's jail term has increased to eight and a half years (five and three and a half).

The Prime Minister also added, "These days you keep hearing about Aadhaar. I want to say Aadhaar has added great strength to India's development. What would earlier get into wrong hands is now going to the intended beneficiaries."
