PM Modi to address farmers in his 'Mann Ki Baat' today
New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS): As the Oppositions are targeting and slamming the Centre over the controversial Land Bill, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Sunday address the farmers through the sixth edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' programme which will be aired on All India Radio.
The programme is scheduled for broadcast at 11:00 AM.
The focus of PM’s address will be on farmers and allied issues. He has also invited citizens to share their ideas and thoughts on the subject in the Open Forum of MyGov.in
The address will assume special significance as the government will try to get the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha by April 5, where it is in minority.
The Lok Sabha has already passed the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill, 2015 with nine amendments by a voice vote on March 9.
