New Delhi, Mar 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the primary face of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Lok Sabha poll campaign, will address three rallies on Thursday.

Modi will hold rallies at Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, at Rudrapur in Uttarakhand and in Jammu.

Uttar Pradesh is a key state to win the Lok Sabha polls as the northern states consists of 80 seats.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP had won 71 out of 80 seats paving the way for Modi to become the Prime Minister.

The 17th Lok Sabha election is scheduled to begin on Apr 11 and end on May 19.

The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
