PM Modi wishes people on Baisakhi

New Delhi, Apr 13 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished people across India on the occasion of Baisakhi.

"On the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, my greetings to people across India & the world. May this day bring joy & prosperity in society," Modi tweeted.

Baisakhi, Vaishakhi, or Vasakhi refers to the harvest festival of the Punjab region, the Punjabi new year falling on the Baisakh which is first month of Bikram Sambat Hindu calendar.

Khalsa Sirjana Divas andMesha Sankranti festival.

It is celebrated on Apr 13.
