PM Narendra Modi arrives in Gujarat, to make an aerial survey of flood-hit areas

New Delhi, July 25 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reached Gujarat where he will take stock of the flood situation in the state.

Modi had earlier served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

He is also an MP from the state.

Speaking on his arrival to Gujarat, PMO Inida tweeted: "PM @narendramodi landed in Ahmedabad. He will take stock of the situation arising due to floods in parts of Gujarat."

Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House on Tuesday and apprised him of the situation arising out of incessant rain and flood in parts of the State.

The PM decided to undertake an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas of the state.

"PM then decided to undertake an aerial survey of flood affected areas of North Gujarat this afternoon, after the swearing-in ceremony for the new President," read an official statement.
