New Delhi, May 27 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari as he turned 62.

Gadkari had served as the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways in the 16th Lok Sabha.

Modi appreciated him and said Gadkari made his mark as a 'good organiser'.

"Greetings to my valued colleague @nitin_gadkari Ji on his birthday. Gadkari Ji has made a mark as a good organiser, who has strengthened BJP at the grassroots and an effective minister, who has contributed to creating new infrastructure. Praying for his long and healthy life," Modi tweeted.

In the Lok Sabha polls, Nitin Gadkari won from the Nagpur seat.

He registered his win against Congress candidate Nana Patole.

BJP-led NDA registered a massive victory in the Lok Sabha polls this year.

Narendra Modi is all set to become the PM for the second straight term.
