Police arrest drug peddler, recover contraband drugs in Assam’s Mankachar

Guwahati/IBNS: Police have seized a huge quantity of contraband drugs and arrested a drug peddler in Assam’s South Salmara Mankachar district.

Based on intelligence input, police have conducted a search operation at 2 no Puer gaon in Mankachar area and arrested a drug peddler.

“The arrested drug peddler was identified as Jiadur Islam and we had recovered 2448 numbers of capsules (narcotic drugs) from his house,” a police officer said.

Police have registered a case in connection with it.
