Police should take care of public grievances on priority: Maneka Gandhi

Sultanpur, Jun 4 (UNI): Local MP and former Union minister Maneka Gandhi on Tuesday expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation and instructed police officers concerned to dispose of public issues on priority.

Addressing the media here after review meeting, Ms Gandhi said for quick disposal of public grievances, an additional superintendent of police had been made nodal officer. She claimed that positive results of her efforts will be observed in a few months.

Mrs. Gandhi had expressed concern on poor law and order situation in a meeting with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath few days back. UP CM had further instructed DGP for quick actions on public issues.

She expressed gratitude for overwhelming support of party workers. She said hard labour of party workers helped her winning against notorious criminals. She said public and party workers put their all in for her victory.

BJP leader said that even after defeat opposition leaders can conspire in next Assembly elections. She said police department must maintain better law and order in the district and actions should be taken against the criminals.
