President Pranab Mukherjee condoles passing away of Pramukh Swami Maharaj

New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday condoled the passing away of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, spiritual guru and head of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sansthan of Swaminarayan sect.

In a message to Mahant Swamiji, the President said, “I am sad to learn about the demise of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj, spiritual guru and head of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sansthan (BAPS) of Swaminarayan sect."

"Swamiji was a pious soul, always concerned about the welfare of humanity. A constant crusader for spiritual values, Swamiji's teachings of service to mankind have great relevance in the present world. Swamiji's words and wisdom will remain a source of inspiration to all his followers and people at large, guiding them on the path of love and compassion," Mukherjee said.

"Please accept my heartfelt condolences and convey them to the countless followers of Swamiji in India and abroad," he said.
