President Pranab Mukherjee distributes free LPG connections under PMUY at Jangipur

Kolkata, July 15 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee distributed free LPG connections to 11 women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) at Jangipur in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on Saturday in the presence of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

With this, the Central Government has distributed 2.5 crore LPG connections under PMUY among the poor and marginalized households across the country since its launch.

The PMUY was launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on May 1, 2016.

Abhijit Mukherjee, MP (Lok Sabha) and Ranjan Mahapatra, Executive Director, Indian Oil, Kolkata were also present on the occasion.
