Pune, Nov 28 (IBNS): Police have detained four minor boys for allegedly raping a six-year-old in Pune, reports said.

The horrific incident took place on Saturday in Pune's Chinchwad area.

Two among the apprehended minors are aged 13, while the other two are aged 10 and 14, The Indian Express reported.

An FIR was registered after the victim's parents came to know of the incident.

"After the girl told her mother about the incident an FIR was registered. Based on what the girl told us about the accused buys, we first detained one of them and he led us to the other three. After a medical examination, the girl has now been admitted to a hospital and is being treated. She will also be provided counseling," Pimpri police station in-charge was quoted as saying.

The boys have been placed under observation, police further said.
