Punjab Elections 2017: Shiromani Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party are the only two recognized state parties

New Delhi, Jan 17 (IBNS): The Chief Electoral Officer for the Punjab Assembly Elections 2017,in a fact-sheet published on Tuesday, said that there are two recognized state parties here viz., Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Among the Assembly Constituencies (AC), by area, the smallest is 61-Ludhiana Central and the largest one is 55-Dakha.

By size of the electorate, the smallest is 26-BholathAC with 1,28,761 electors and the largest being 66-GillAC with 2,37,399 electors.

Going by the Electoral Photo ID Cards (EPIC) issued, the number of male and female electors are evenly spread and there are 380 electors from the Third Gender category.
