Punjab law on water sharing illegal: Supreme Court
New Delhi, Nov 10 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Thursday said the Punjab law that scrapped water of Sutlej riving sharing with other states is illegal.
The ruling meant that Haryana, the neighbour of Punjab, would get water according to an earlier order by the apex court.
The court said Punjab cannot terminate the agreement on Sutlej water sharing.
A Sutlej Yamuna canal construction work would however continue under the centre.
