Rahul at Ambedkar's birth place to reach out to Dalits

New Delhi, June 2 (IBNS) As part of his mass contact drive Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday outreached to the Dalit community visiting the birth place of B R Ambedkar at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh to launch the party's year-long event on the occasion of 124th birth anniversary of the Indian constitutions's architect.

The party's celebrations over the birth anniversary was kicked off on April 14 but it was on a low key duet to Rahul's sabbatical.

Rahul, who  garlanded the statue of Ambedkar will address a public meeting and interact with Dalit leaders and activists in the evening before returning to Delh. .

Rahul had earlier visited farmers and fishermen in different parts of the country as part of his programme to reach out to the underprivileged communities.
