Rahul Gandhi seeks leave to reflect on recent events
New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS) Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, whose party faced poll debacles on after another, is reportedly going on leave to reflect on recent events, said media reports.
According to an NDTV report, Rahul Gandhi has "requested Congress President Sonia Gandhi for some time to reflect on recent events and future course of the party".
The report said with the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session scheduled in April, he has sought time to think on what direction the party will take.
The channel quoting sources reported that Rahul Gandhi has been "granted a leave of absence for a few weeks after which he will return and resume his active participation in the affairs of the Congress party."
Rahul Gandhi has always been seen as a reluctant Prince of the Congress party. He has so far failed to woo voters with the Congress in the recently held Delhi polls scoring a zilch.
