Rahul Gandhi slams AAP
New Delhi, Apr 6 (IBNS): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and said it had failed to fulfill the promises while it was in power in Delhi.
"It is easy to make false promises," Gandhi said addressing a rally here where he targeted Arving Kejriwal's party.
Attacking the AAP, the Congress vice-president said those people, who were running the Delhi government, have 'ran away' from national capital.
"The truth is those who were running the government have ran away from here. Delhi has only faced troubles," Gandhi said.
Gandhi said the Congress supported the AAP to respect people's will.
The just-over-a-year-old party led by Kejriwal had emerged as the second biggest outfit with 28 seats, falling only a few seats short of the right wing BJP and allies who managed 32 seats.
The AAP had formed the government with outside support of the Congress which had bagged 8 seats in the polls.
After the AAP government-backed Jan Lokpal Bill was not tabled in the Delhi Assembly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned on Feb 14 after remaining in power for 49 days.
