Rahul Gandhi takes dig at PM Modi for ignoring BJP veterans

| @indiablooms | Jun 13, 2018, at 04:00 pm

New Delhi, Jun 13 (IBNS): In an attempt to gain political points, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has taken a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ignoring veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Jaswant Singh.

Rahul took to Twitter to share a video where the Congress president tried to imply a characteristic transformation in Modi.

The Congress president tried to highlight how Modi, who had once patronised former Deputy Prime Minister Advani in 2014, possibly ignored the veteran during Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's swearing-in ceremony in 2018.

Rahul has also invoked Eklavya, a character from epic Mahabharata, who had cut his finger for his guru.

His tweet reads,"In the BJP, they cut down their own Gurus. Humiliating Vajpayeeji, Advaniji, Jaswant Singhji and their families is the Prime Minister’s way of protecting Indian culture."

Rahul tweeted at a time former Prime Minister Vajpayee is admitted to a hospital with urinal tract infection.

Rahul on Tuesday accused the PM of conspiring against him by filing cases.
