Rajnath: Will have to abolish Art 370, 35A if anyone demands separate PM for J&K

Jammu, Apr 8 (UNI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said if anybody raised the bogey of separate PM in the state, then there will be no option with the government other than abolishing articles 370 and 35A related to special status to Jammu and Kashmir in the Constitution.

"If someone talks about separate PM for J&K, we will have no option other than abolishing Articles 370 and 35A," said the Union home minister while addressing an election rally here in bordering Suchetgarh area in support of BJP candidate Jugal Kishore for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency.

He also said that he tried his best to reach out to people of Kashmir, adding, "I was also ready to hold talks with separatists. But now enough is enough."

Further asserting that Separatists in Kashmir valley are ruining future of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Singh also claimed that two anti-India organisations in the valley were also banned.
