Jaisalmer, Jan 21 (IBNS): North Western Railway officials on Saturday said that no casualties has been reported after the train Ranikhet Express derailed near Jaisalmer late on Friday night, according to media reports.

Ten coaches of the 15014 Ranikhet Express, which runs between Kathgodam (Uttarakhand) and Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), derailed along the Thayat Hamira-Jaisalmer section.

The passengers were taken of a special train to their destination and railway officials are conducting a probe into the derailment.

Although the reason behind the derailment is yet to be ascertained, it might have resulted from a fault in the tracks, local media reported quoting railway officials.
