Residential house turns into ashes in J&K's Doda

Jammu, Jun 6 (UNI) A residential house on Thursday turned into ashes in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“A three-storey house was burnt to ashes after a mysterious fire broke out in a house in Marmat area of Doda district this afternoon,” police sources here said.

They said that the house of one Mohan Lal of Roat, Banhan, Ward Number 3, caught fire under mysterious circumstances.

“On seeing the devastating flames, the villagers raised alarm and assembled to douse the flames,” they said and added that one of the floors of the house, was completely damaged in an inferno.

The reason for the fire is being ascertained, they said and added that there as no loss of life or injury reported.
