Patna/UNI: On the directive of party supremo Lalu Prasad, RJD issued notice to its MLA and former Minister Sudhakar Singh for his repeated statements against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Grand Alliance government headed by him.

Principal General Secretary of RJD Abdul Bari Siddiqui released the notice in the media on Wednesday which was signed by him.

In the notice, Sudhakar has been asked why disciplinary action should not be taken against him by the party for his repeated statements against Chief Minister Kumar and the Grand Alliance government headed by him.

Sudhakar has been given 15 days to reply to the notice. It is learnt that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has directed to issue notice to Sudhakar Singh taking cognizance of his statements proving to be detrimental to the Grand Alliance government.

Meanwhile, spokesman of JD(U) Neeraj Kumar expressed satisfaction over the notice issued to Sudhakar Singh. It has now been established that anyone causing damage to the Grand Alliance would not be spared, he noted.

JD(U) leader said that the statements being made by Sudhakar were violation of "Gathbandhan Dharma"(coalition ethics).

The Grand Alliance government, headed by Chief Minister Kumar, was working in the interest of the people for the development of Bihar.

The Grand Alliance was formed against the disruptive and dictatorial politics of BJP, he stressed.

As it is, Sudhakar had targeted the policies of the Grand Alliance government while he was Agriculture Minister.

He also alleged that there was rampant corruption in Agriculture and other departments under the regime of the Grand Alliance government in Bihar.

Following controversy over his statements, Sudhakar resigned but continued to target the Grand Alliance government on several issues including alleged failures of successive Agriculture Road Maps to fulfill its purpose.
