RJD MLA Maheshwar Yadav attacks Tejashwi, blames him for dismal election performance

| @indiablooms | May 27, 2019, at 07:35 pm

Patna, May 27 (UNI): After suffering the most humiliating defeat since its inception, dissidence seems to have flared up in RJD as party MLA Maheshwar Yadav today demanded resignation of leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav who spearheaded campaign of RJD in just concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Mr Yadav told media persons here that party leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had miserably failed in discharging his responsibility of heading the campaign for RJD which led to its worst ever debacle in just-concluded Lok Sabha elections.

"What could be worst that RJD failed to open its account in parliamentary elections in the state," he said, adding that a party like RJD which ruled Bihar for 15 consecutive years, had now been reduced to such a sorry state.

"Several RJD leaders are in touch with me and a separate faction could be formed if Tejaswi does not step down from the post of the leader of Opposition," Mr Yadav said, adding that even senior leaders of the party were not happy with the style of his functioning.

Leadership of the party should be handed over to a senior leader as people have rejected the dynastic culture in politics, he added.
