Rose Valley chit fund scam: CBI to quiz two former Tripura ministers

Guwahati, Apr 24 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will quiz two former ministers in then Manik Sarkar-led government of Tripura in connection with the multi crore rupees Rose Valley chit fund scam.

According to the reports, the investigating agency will question two former Tripura ministers Badal Choudhury and Bijita Nath, in which Badal Choudhury is present CPI (M) MLA.

A top official of CBI said that, Bijita Nath will be quizzed by the investigating agency on April 25 at around 2 pm at her residence at Kadamtala in North Tripura district and Badal Choudhury to be quizzed on April 26 at around 11 am at MLA hostel.

On April 19, Sudip Roy, Superintendent of Police of CBI in Kolkata office had sent the official letter to the Tripura government and the Tripura assembly speaker.

The investigating agency would likely to quiz private secretary of Badal Choudhury.

The CBI had quizzed Bijita Nath and one more former minister Gautam Das in connection with the scam in last year.
