Sacked Bihar Congress chief might face expulsion from the party

| @indiablooms | Sep 29, 2017, at 06:36 pm
Patna, Sept 29 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Sacked Bihar Congress president Ashok Chaudhary may face expulsion from the party for his outbursts against the top party leadership.

This became clear when the new party chief in the state, Kaukab Quadari, announced to act tough against his predecessor if the latter didn’t hold his tongue.

“We have taken his (Chaudhary) comments (against party leadership) very seriously. Such people will be thrown out of the party,” warned Quadari on Thursday.

The stern warning came after Chaudhary was heard criticising the top leadership by holding a formal press conference.

Chaudhary in his speech had alleged how party’s Bihar Congress in-charge Dr CP Joshi had been working against him for long and also how he had “ruined the Congress in the north-east, West Bengal and Manipur”.

Quadari who was serving as the state vice-president replaced Chaudhary on Tuesday in a sudden change of guard.

The top party leadership had been angry with Chaudhary after he suddenly revolted against the party post Nitish Kumar dumping the Grand Alliance and forming new government with the BJP.

He was also said to be trying to split the party and join the JD-U of Nitish Kumar but the central leadership came to know of his alleged plan and removed him from the post even without informing him.
