Sahara agrees to pay $1.6 billion bail to get Subrata Roy released from jail
New Delhi, May 8 (IBNS): The Sahara Group has agreed to pay the full $1.6 billion in bail to release its chief Subrata Roy from jail, media reports said.
Sahara is likely to pay the amount it still owes by next week.
The Sahara chief has been in jail for more than a year for failing to refund billions of dollars to investors in a bond programme.
His company has made several failed attempts to raise the money to free him on bail.
