Salman to resume shooting today for Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Mumbai, May 9 (IBNS) A day after the Bombay High Court suspended his five-year jail sentence in the 2002 hit-and-run case, actor Salman Khan will resume shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir on Saturday.
Giving a temporary relief to the 49-year-old Bollywood superstar, the High Court on Friday he can apply for bail with a bond of Rs. 30,000.
The hearing for his bail will be held in June.
On Wednesday, a session court convicted and sentenced him to jail for five years in connection with the 2002 incident in which his SUV mounted over pavement and ploughed through several persons, killing one and injuring four others.
The court found him guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and held him responsible for drunken driving without having a valid license.
"All those who prayed for and supported me thank u meherbani shukriya," the actor later tweeted.
