Sam Pitroda slams Modi for anti-Rajiv remarks

| @indiablooms | May 05, 2019, at 10:28 pm

Indore, May 5 (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on one of his predecessors – Mr Rajiv Gandhi – was denounced on Sunday by Rajiv's then advisor Sam Pitroda who averred that the PM’s speaking such words – in nonconformity with the stateliness of his position – was saddening.

“Mr Modi often makes untrue and deceptive utterances on political platforms," Pitroda said.

"The Bharatiya Janata Party misuses money – running into crores – and muscle in attempts aimed at tarnishing the image of Congress President Rahul Gandhi especially through the social media channel," he said. "By hatching conspiracies, the saffron camp is presenting a challenge for the Congress’ principled politics."

"Those who question the surgical strike are labelled as traitors but every Indian enjoys the right to do so,” the Congress strategist averred during a party press conference in Madhya Pradesh’s commercial capital.
