Saradha: CBI arrests businessman Ramesh Gandhi

Kolkata, Sep 7 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) on Monday evening arrested businessman Ramesh Gandhi from Kolkata in connection with the Saradha financial scam.

According to the sources, a team of CBI arrested Kolkata-based businessman and the owner of the Rainbow Productions, Ramesh Gandh, from his house in Kolkata's Tollygunge area on Monday evening.

He has been taken to CBI's office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake area for further interrogation and will likely be produced to court on Tuesday.

Ramesh Gandhi was allegedly associated with Saradha owner Sudipta Sen and as many as 9 crore rupees were allegedly transferred to his account from Saradha chit fund group.

He was interrogated few times by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) earlier regarding this case.
