Kolkata, Apr 30 (IBNS): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday summoned former Union Minister P. Chidambaram's wife Nalini Chidambaram in connection with its ongoing probe into multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam, officials said.

According to sources, Nalini Chidambaram has been asked to appear as a witness in the money laundering case at ED office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake on May 7.

She was the lawyer for drafting a contract for  Maoranjana Sinh, the estranged wife of former Union Minister Matang Sinh-both under CBI arrest in connection with the Saradha scam.

ED is looking into the alleged money laundering aspect involved in the case.

Nalini Chidambaram was earlier questioned by the ED and CBI.
