Security forces seize illegal Burma teak wood worth Rs 70 lakh in Nagaland

Guwahati/UNI: Security forces have seized a huge quantity of illegal Bura teak wood worth Rs 70 lakh and apprehended four persons from Nagaland’s Dimapur district.

Based on a specific input, troops of Assam Rifles in a joint operation with state police apprehended four persons and seized two trucks of 4500 CFT illegal Burma Teak wood worth approximately Rs 70 lakh at general area Pherima in Dimapur district.

The apprehended persons along with recovered items were handed over to Forest Range office Dimapur for further investigation.
