Kulgam: A gun battle erupted between security forces and militants in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday.

The Kashmir Zone Police said that the encounter began in the Damhal Hanji Pora area of Kulgam.

In October, security forces eliminated two militants in a clash in Kulgam, who according to police had affiliation with Hizbul Mujahideen.
