Sensex, Nifty rise ahead of PM Modi's Independence Day speech
Mumbai, Aug 14 (IBNS): BSE Sensex and Nifty inched higher on Thursday, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on the Independence Day.
Sensex was up 115 points at 26,034 and Nifty climbed 31 points to 7,770, bolstered by higher global markets and weak crude oil prices.
Prices for Brent crude oil also stood at around 13-month low of $103 per barrel.
