Sheena Bora murder :Sanjiv Khanna's lawyers likely to seek his release

Mumbai, Sept 8 (IBNS) A day after he was taken to Kolkata in connection with the probe in the Sheena Bora murder case, Sanjiv Khanna's lawyers are likely to move application saying his detention over the last 24 hours was illegal.

Media reports quoted Khanna's lawyers as claiming that his  police custody had ended and he should have been produced in court instead of being taken to Kolkata.

Khanna was questioned overnight and is likely to be produced in court on Tuesday and may be sent to judicial custody.

Prime accused in the case and Sheena's mother Indrani Mukherjea along with her driver Shyam Rai were on Monday also sent to 14 days of judicial custody. .

Meanwhile, DNA report on the body parts found in a Raigad forest have matched Indrani's. Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria said the DNA report "conclusively proves" that Indrani Mukerjea was the mother of the "deceased Sheena Bora".
