Srinagar, Aug 12 (IBNS): At least six Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were injured in a militant attack in Srinagar on Monday night, reports said.

The incident took place at Pampore while the BSF convoy was coming from Pahalgam to Srinagar.

The militants suddenly came out from a narrow lane, opened fire at the convoy and escaped the scene immediately after the strike.

All injured jawans were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Earlier, two BSF jawans were injured in firing by Pakistani rangers along the international border in Jammu’s RS Pura on Sunday night. The Pakistani troops used heavy mortar while targeting several posts of the India’s border guarding agency.
