Six members of family found dead in Jharkhand house, mass suicide suspected

Hazaribagh, July 15 (IBNS): Six members of a family were found dead at their residence in Jharkhand's  Hazaribagh city on Sunday.

The police are suspecting that it is an incident of mass suicide due to financial issues.

As per Hindustan Times report,  those found dead were identified as Mahavir Maheshwari (70), his wife Kiran Maheswari (60), son Naresh Maheswari (40), daughter-in-law Priti Maheshwari (35), grandson Aman (10) and granddaughter Annvi (7).

The family was engaged in a wholesale business of dry fruits reports said.

The police have reportedly recovered six brown envelopes containing suicide notes from the residence.

“The investigation so far indicates that the family members committed suicide. As of now, we cannot rule out the possibility of murder as well,” Hazaribag SP Mayur Patel was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Delhi Family Suicide:

This incident occurred just two weeks after Delhi witnessed the mass suicide of 11 family members in Burari area.
