Smriti Irani calls Modi a 'Great Economist'
Guwahati, May 29 (IBNS): Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a 'Great Economist' and he has given a positive direction to the nation's economic growth.
Irani made her statement against the backdrop of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s jibe at Modi for taking one hour class from former prime Minister Manmohan Singh tried to understand how economy is run.
During a party meeting held in Silchar in Assam on the mark of a year completion of Modi government, the Union HRD minister said that Narendra Modi has created trust among the common people of the nation by introducing several development schemes.
Attack to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, Smriti Irani said that, India’s economy has been going on in positive direction and the Prime Minister knew how economy is run.
“During UPA regime only two kms road laid daily, but during Modi government’s one year 11 kms road contructed daily and it has showed who developed the nation,” the Union minister said.
