Starting from Bihar: Prashant Kishor's cryptic tweet days after declining Congress offer

New Delhi/IBNS: Days after his talks to join the Congress went unsuccessful, political strategist Prashant Kishor Monday hinted he will begin his work from his home state Bihar.

Though he didn't divulge much, Kishor said in a cryptic tweet that he will go to the people of Bihar "to better understand the issues".

"My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10yr rollercoaster ride!

"As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE,to better understand the issues & the path to “जन सुराज”-Peoples Good Governance शुरुआत #बिहार से," he tweeted.

Incidentally, Kishor, who intends to rejoin active politics, was earlier the vice president of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United).

From Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 to the latest West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in 2021, Kishor has successfully worked with various political parties, mostly anti-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), except his outing with the Samajwadi Party-Congress in 2017 in Uttar Pradesh.

After the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections where Banerjee stormed back to power, Kishor held several rounds of talks with the Congress top brass.

The fresh round of talks started after Congress was wiped out of its bastion Punjab in 2022 but Kishor declined the grand old party's offer to join a committee named Empowered Action Group.

He had tweeted, "I declined the generous offer of #congress to join the party as part of the EAG & take responsibility for the elections.

"In my humble opinion, more than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep rooted structural problems through transformational reforms."
