Sukhbir Singh Badal announces 5 candidates for Parliamentary polls

Chandigarh, Apr 1 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday announced the party candidates for five parliamentary constituencies in the state for the Lok Sabha polls.

The SAD president declared former SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur as SAD candidate for Parliamentary constituency Khadoor Sahib, former deputy speaker, Lok Sabha and ex-speaker, Punjab assembly S Charanjit Singh Atwal for Jalandhar (Reserve), Sitting member of parliament and senior vice president of the SAD, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra for Shri Anandpur Sahib, former cabinet minister S. Surjit Singh Rakhra for Patiala and former IAS S. Darbara Singh Guru for Fatehgarh Sahib (Reserve).

The candidates for remaining parliamentary constituencies will be announced shortly, Badal added.
