New Delhi/UNI: Vyapam scam whistleblower Anand Rai approached the Supreme Court on Friday after the Madhya Pradesh High Court vacated its order for protection from his arrest related to an FIR on a paper leak case.

Chief Justice NV Ramana agreed to hear the matter on Monday. Rai had earlier sought a CBI probe into the paper leak case adding he was the whistleblower in both the Vyapam scam case in Madhya Pradesh and AIIMS scam cases.

The Madhya Pradesh state police had issued notice against him to appear and join the investigation on Friday but he was arrested Thursday night from Delhi, days after he moved the plea in the top court, seeking a CBI inquiry into the alleged Paper leak case.

Senior advocate Vivek Tankha appearing for Rai told the court that "the whistle blower has been arrested even though the principal accused is on bail".
