Sushma Swaraj holds talks for wide-ranging cooperation with Kyrgyz FM

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Kyrgyzstan counterpart Abdyldaev on Saturday held discussions on the opportunities for cooperation in various fields.

The Ministry of External Affairs said trade and investment, defence and security, IT, health, HRD, tourism and joint film production were the subjects the two leaders talked about.

"Taking steps to tap the huge potential that exists between our two countries! EAM @SushmaSwaraj & Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Abdyldaev discussed opportunities for cooperation in fields of trade & investment, defence & security, IT, health, HRD, tourism & joint film production," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Swaraj is in Kyrgyzstan on the second leg of her four-day visit to three central Asian

countries-the other two being Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

On Friday, Swaraj had called on Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov and discussed measures to expand bilateral ties across all sectors.

Swaraj arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Friday on a two-day tour after wrapping up her Kazakhstan visit. Her next destination is Uzbekistan.
