Sushma Swaraj inaugurates conference of heads of Indian missions across globe

New Delhi, Jun 30 (IBNS) : External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday inaugurated the 9th Heads of Mission Conference in Delhi with the participation of all Indian Ambassadors and High Commissioners.

The three-day conference has the objective of promoting India's national interests abroad.

"The time of the year when all our Ambassadors & High Commissioners come to Delhi for a brainstorming session on promoting India's national interests abroad," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

"EAM @sushmaswaraj inaugurates the 9th Heads of Mission Conference on theme 'Unprecedented Outreach:Unparalleled Outcomes," he tweeted.

During the conference, the participants will discuss the country's foreign policy priorities and key issues.

The envoys are also expected to have a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
