Suspected NSCN (K), ULFA (I) militants attack at Assam Rifles camp in Nagaland

Guwahat/IBNS: Suspected militants of banned outfits NSCN (K) and ULFA (I) attacked a camp of Assam Rifles in Nagaland’s Mon district on Sunday morning.

There is no report of any casualty in the militants attack, but sources said that, one Assam Rifles jawan got minor injury.

According to the reports, a suspected militant group with heavy weapons had attacked the camp of 40 Assam Rifles Delta Company camp located at Chenloisho village in Mon district on Sunday morning at around 2 am.

Heavy rounds of bullet were exchanged from both sides.

Later, security personnel recovered 75 empty cases of bullets, 40mm grenade cartridges from the spot.

In May last, two Assam Rifles jawans were martyred and four others injured after suspected NSCN-K militants ambushed on a convoy of the Assam Rifles troops in Mon district.
